BIT Barshi, also known as Bhagwant Institute of Technology, was established in Maharashtra as a private college. The institute is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education, the Directorate of Technical Education and the Government of Maharashtra. Bhagwant Institute of Technology is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technology University, Lonere. Bhagwant Institute of Technology courses include four undergraduate and three diploma programmes in engineering.
